Policy decisions made in the dark are expensive, not just in terms of wasted budgets, but in the lives they fail to protect. At the Center for Rapid Evidence Synthesis (ACRES), we solve the time problem in governance. We know that leaders don’t have months to wait for a study; they have days. We take the world’s wealth of research and compress it into the fast, reliable evidence that African decision-makers need on their desks exactly when the choice is being made.
For 16 years, our Kampala-based team has served as a technical ally, helping turn raw data into clear next steps. We operate at every level; from high-level national ministries to sub-national district offices, ensuring that no leader has to walk the path of policy alone.
In the district offices where health protocols are decided, our rapid response interventions have directly reshaped cervical cancer screening. We replaced guesswork with proven clinical pathways, ensuring that women receive the right care at the right time.
We provide the vetted evidence required to ensure that public and donor resources are directed toward what actually works. But we do more than just provide data; we build the infrastructure for a more accountable and effective African governance.
