ACRES’s Rapid Response Service (RRS) is a knowledge translation service in Uganda that responds to a decision maker’s urgent needs, providing evidence within 28 days. The Service supports policy formulation in the health, education, gender and renewable energy sectors. Policymakers benefit from complimentary evidence, expertly provided, which they utilize to inform and enhance their decision-making processes, ensuring data-driven policies that drive positive impact.
Dr Isaac Ddumba, Assistant District Health Officer in Mukono, praised the rapid response service, saying: "The evidence provided through this service has been instrumental in informing our policymaking decisions. It not only instils confidence in our decision-making but also significantly reduces the time spent searching for relevant evidence, allowing us to respond swiftly to emerging issues."
