Prisca Auma
Prisca Auma is a Research Associate who specializes in using data to understand and predict human behaviour. With a degree in Statistics from Makerere University, Prisca brings a high level of technical rigour to the ACRES team, ensuring that every piece of evidence we produce is backed by robust, reliable data. Her work is defined by the belief that for policy to be effective, it must show a deep understanding of the people it serves.
Prisca provides a unique interdisciplinary lens to our research efforts, working across the boundaries of public health, psychology, and data science. She is particularly passionate about integrating mental health and behavioural science into the evidence-informed policymaking process. Through applying advanced statistical modelling to these often-overlooked sectors, she helps ACRES deliver comprehensive insights that allow policymakers to design interventions that are not only scientifically sound but also socially and psychologically responsive.
In her role at ACRES, Prisca is a key contributor to our rapid evidence synthesis efforts. She specializes in the art of systematic review, taking vast amounts of complex data and turning it into actionable takeaways for decision-makers. Her ability to interpret intricate data patterns allows her to support Health Systems Strengthening by providing clear, quantitative evidence during urgent policy windows.
