Peter Kasadha
Peter Kasadha studies public health and systems to find ways to keep people healthy while protecting the planet. At ACRES, Peter leads in addressing the climate-health nexus, ensuring that as Uganda and the wider continent build health systems, they are prepared for the realities of a changing climate.
Peter is a recognized leader in the field and was honoured with the Africa Evidence Leadership Award (Evidence User Category) 2025 by the Africa Evidence Network (AEN), marking him as one of the continent’s most effective champions for knowledge translation.
As the coordinator of the Evidence to Policy (E2P) Training Programme, Peter is instrumental in building the human infrastructure championed by ACRES. He trains the next generation of researchers and policymakers to speak a common language.
While applying advanced methodologies including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, he provides the technical rigour required to evaluate program effectiveness and solve complex health system challenges. His work ensures that the pull for evidence from government is met with a supply of world-class, synthesized research.
Peter’s expertise is vital for future-proofing African governance. He specializes in integrating climate change adaptation strategies into public health planning, providing the economic evaluations and implementation science needed to justify long-term investments in resilience.
