Patrick Mugabi graduated from Makerere University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Technology. During his time at Makerere, Patrick developed a strong foundation in laboratory techniques, scientific research methodologies, and the application of biomedical technologies in real-world scenarios.

After completing his studies, Patrick began his career in the education sector. Here, he leveraged scientific knowledge to enhance educational programs and contribute to the development of curriculum materials. His role involved teaching, mentoring students, and fostering a learning environment that emphasized the importance of scientific inquiry and critical thinking.


His passion for research and knowledge brokerage led him to join ACRES as a Research Associate. In this position, Patrick is instrumental in conducting research, analyzing data, and translating complex scientific information into actionable insights. My work at ACRES involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that research findings are communicated effectively to various stakeholders, including policymakers, practitioners, and the broader community.
