The Center for Rapid Evidence Synthesis (ACRES) has been honoured with the UEA Excellence Award 2024 in the Civil Society Organisation category.
The prestigious award, presented during the 8th Uganda Evaluation Week, acknowledges ACRES’s contributions to Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) practice in Uganda.
The 8th Uganda Evaluation Week, held from August 19th to 23rd, 2024, in Kampala, brought together evaluation practitioners from various sectors to share evidence, lessons, and best practices in development evaluation.
This year’s theme, “Development with Purpose: Empowering Accountable Learning for Achieving Development Goals and Enhancing Climate Resilience,” highlighted the importance of learning, sharing, and partnerships in evaluation.
Organised by the Uganda Evaluation Association (UEA) and the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), the Uganda Evaluation Week provided a platform for stakeholders to share experiences, explore innovative evaluation practices, and strengthen synergies between local and international evaluation actors.
The event aimed to share experiences from evaluations that contributed to national targets and SDGs, as well as explore innovative evaluation practices that improve learning and strengthen synergies.
It also sought to achieve strengthened support for evidence-use in national development initiatives and improved methodologies in evaluation practices and expanded research prospects.
