What would be the appropriate health financing strategy for Uganda?
A relatively good and sustainable health financing strategy in developing countries is dependent on a blend or mix of tax-based financing, mandatory insurance for the formal sector, private insurance, CBHI, formal user-fees and informal contributions. Policymakers need to analyze and consider what contribution each method can make, and in what proportions to achieve universal access to care and financial protection.
